Dear Storyspinner …
“Our idea is about a boy who has been locked in the drains since the age of 7 with only a picture of his great great great grandfather to remind him of the real world … Timothy ended up in the drains when he ran away from the orphanage and the Masters chased after him. He fled down a drain and the entrance closed behind him and never opened again. Timothy has short, chestnut hair, a floppy fringe and emerald eyes (which, if you look closely, are sapphire in the centre).”
“Our character has no name. However, she has ginger, shoulder length hair that goes frizzy below her ears. She also has purple skin and green eyes. She feels nervous and happy because she knows her future. However, she doesn’t know exactly what will happen next. She begins in a wide open space with nothing around her as far as the eye can see. She ends up in a dead end where, if you tap a special brick, you can open up a time vortex. She carries a magic, sparkly broom with her at all times.”
“Our character, Suzy, feels lost and confused. She lost her parents in a car crash and carries a small ornamental tree that sat on the dashboard of the car with her always. She is in the centre of a small town where she works on her grandparents’ market stall to earn money. Not only can she see things that others can’t, but she can hear things that others can’t. She hears whispers of her parents calling her name. On the anniversary of her parents’ deaths, she follows a light from the stall which leads to a forest.”
“Our character is Mary, a young girl who has black hair, blue eyes and carries a special book of children’s’ stories. She is confused and scared and thinks that her doll is alive. She finds herself in a wide open space and arrives at a dead end. Mary can see things that others can’t see – only Mary can see the zombies! The zombies have red, glowing eyes, torn clothes and many can’t walk properly. However, a few can run. Mary and her Grandfather jumped out of a window to escape them however, her grandfather turned into a zombie. “
“Our character is a lonely girl – a little older than us (12-13). She is feeling confused, excited and nervous. With her, she is carrying a ‘rat emblem’. To start with, she is in the centre of a small town, then travels to a hidden glade, in amongst the trees. She does not know her name. She has black hair, green eyes and is tall for the age of 13.”
“Our story is about a mysterious old man and his lost wife. He lives in apartment 13F and has a little tree which his wife gave to him on Thursday 12th – the day before she died. She was kidnapped and the old man was misled in his search for her and arrived at a dead end – where he found her dead! He returned to his apartment and was never seen again.”
