Dear Storyspinner …

Our character is a mysterious character because he previously lived in a village where something would come and take people into the forest that bordered it. When one day the creature attacked a child that the man had been talking to although he tried to defend the child she was killed and her body covered in blood was seen by the villagers next to the man (also covered in blood).

The village elders therefore assumed that he had murdered her. Angry with rage the villagers chased the innocent man into the forest.

Our character is a young girl who goes by the name of Kylie Smith. She was put into the happy children orphanage. She sat down with a counsellor to talk about her life.

The counsellor asked her, “How did you lose your parents?”

Kylie replied, “In a car crash.”

The counsellor came back with: “How did the crash occur?”

Kylie then replied, with a slightly tearful edge, “We were singing along with the radio, driving through some dark woods, turned a corner and there was a sillhouette of a man holding an axe with blood dripping off. Then… m-my dad swiveled and it overturned. They died of their injuries instantly.”

She started to sniffle as the haunting memory started to flow into her mind. She then said that she couldn’t remember anything after that.

Our character had very abusive parents. She was locked in a small room by her parents when she was 4, and wasn’t let out until the authorities rescued her at age 12. The room was empty, except for a copy of Grimm’s Fairy Tales, which her grandmother used to read to her. The only words she knows are from this book, as she wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone for all the time she was locked up. She’s also forgotten her name, as she hasn’t heard it since she was 4, so she calls herself Snow, after Snow White, her favourite fairy tale.  She believes the stories are real, as no one has told her otherwise.

She’s 16 now, after running away from three foster homes.  She would attack the other children out of anger, as she didn’t know any different. She couldn’t cope with all the people and loud noises.

Now, she’s sitting in the forest after running away from a third foster home.

We decided our character was an ex taxidermist turned crazy paedophile. He uses his story book to lure children into his drain or glade. He reads the stories to put them to sleep and then stuffs them.   He also has a pet caterpillar called Ronald who lives on his shoulder.

Catchphrases: “Calm down Ronald.” (says when angry)

“Cheer up Ronald” (says when sad)”

“Just me Ronald and my zimmer frame”

                       ”It’s not my zimmer frame it’s Ronald’s”

Our character’s name is Serié. She is 15 years old, has long black hair, silver eyes and is an orphan.   She finds a diary in her new orphanage.   Inside the diary she finds her whole life documented but the text stops on the present day.   She burns the diary because she’s scared, the book turns to ashes.  The next day, in the public library she sees a book titled Serié.  The title looks like wet paint.

*Pause for Dramatic Suspense*

Inside the book is written “Nice try Serié, but I’m your past, present and future” it’s written in blood.   Serié takes the book to the Library Desk to ask about it.   The librarian says that its a children’s fable collection.   But for Serié, that means that she’s the only one to see the diary entries.
